I am primarily interested in how the rate coefficient for deactivation of vibrationally excited methane changes with temperature is of importance to modellers of the atmosphere of Jupiter and Titan. We have We have developed a theory from the kinetics of the deactivation to extract the rate coefficients from photoacoustic measurements of collisions in pure methane. Bayesian analysis of measureed CH4 vib + H2 data curves.
