Awards/Scholarships

If you are planning on applying for NSERC or OGS please make sure you are eligible by using this table to calculate your GPA.

NSERC

NSERC To be eligible for NSERC awards you must have a GPA of A- (minimum) in EACH of your last two years.

Transcripts Deadline to Program office for Doctoral Applicants - October 6, 2015.

NSERC doctoral online application deadline - October 13, 2015.

Canada Graduate Scholarship - Masters (NSERC) online application deadline - December 1, 2015.

NOTE: The application and letters of reference are all done online. You will have accesss to your application to see whether your references have submitted their letters. Without both letters your application will not be considered. It is your responsibility to check to make sure your letters have been submitted.

OGS and QEII SCHOLARSHIPS

To be eligible for OGS and QEII you must have a GPA of A- (minimum) in EACH of your last two years of study.

Doctoral - OGS and QEII application Deadline to Program Office - October 13, 2015.

Masters - OGS and QEII application Deadline to Program Office - December 1, 2015.

NOTE:

• All documents for OGS and QEII should be submitted to the Program Office, Graduate Program in Physics and Astronomy, 125 Petrie Science and Engineering Bldg, York University, 4700 Keele St., Toronto, ON, M3J 1P3.
• For transcripts for the above awards, you can pick them up or have them sent directly to the Graduate Program in Physics and Astronomy but they must be submitted in sealed envelopes. Any transcript submitted in an open envelope will not be accepted. If you attended a foreign university before attending York you do not have to supply these transcripts. The Graduate Program will provide copies of them for your application.
